Sept. 28 - Oct 2. 2026

Throughout the week-long event, Behemoth Magazine will be giving peaks behind the curtain to showcase previously published content across our previous issues and monthly submissions while sharing new projects and content, spotlighting the creators, writers, and artist of the publication.

While Behemoth’s webstore is in development during the event, we’d like to encourage supporting: Nicholas Garza of Torrid Comics (Local comic creator and Behemoth’s zine printer), Scrub Jay Press, Judging by the Cover, Sour Milk Fresno, Secret Identity Comics, Tipped Ears, and your local animal shelter.

never alone

Behemoth reads: Apocalypse Confidential, North American Review, Airplane Reading, 34th Parallel, and more recently our LitMagWeek participants Midnight Mind, f(r)icition, Full Bleed, Anodyne with more to be added to the daily routine.

We’d like to shout out Brett Van Emst, editor of Midnight Mind Magazine, for organizing the LitMagWeek event.

We’d also like to recognize local publications, bookstores, and creators whose work we continue to read and try to support, including: Scrub Jay Press, Spectrum (a literary journal dedicated to publishing young writers that Behemoth has proudly supported), Judging by the Cover, SourMilkFresno, and Torrid Comics.

Members of the editorial team are currently working with Torrid Comics on ongoing creative projects outside of the Behemoth name, with more collaborative projects coming soon.

❋ Thursday
memories of a world before

To celebrate those whose work existed before Behemoth, our editorial team would like to acknowledge publications such as: Blank Fiction, Swivel, The Gettysburg Review, Punk Planet, Shonen Jump USA, and other now defunct magazines. Whether they are defunct or at least on hiatus, the mentioned magazines collected a variety of works in a thematic visual aesthetic that we associate nostalgic memories of reading during our school and college years. Cheers to you, wherever you are.

We’d also like to respectfully remember the artists, writers, actors, and creators that we have lost this year, including: Marjane Satrapi, Tim Curry, Sam Neill, Peter Cullen, Dolly Parton, Mike McFarland, Sal Buscema, Gerry Conway, Mike McFarland, Tatjana Wood, and many others whose work has influenced our work.

❋ friday
the end / the rebuild

Final announcements: Behemoth Press, an independent press and news outlet focused on preserving, revisiting, and recommending works from our archives. Our next evolution from the editorial team that will re-visit our podcast, share articles relating to solo projects from the editorial team to open source works, and discuss what continues to inspire us. First article release: 5 October.

THANK YOU FOR THIS! Please share your support with our fellow participants and community during the final hours of discounted media. Keep dreaming, keep the creating, keep the signal alive! Until next year!
