Amphibian, Insomnia

There is a little green man

And he looks just like a frog

His head are very round

His eyes is very bald

When I tuck into bed

After turning out the light

He sits haunched in the corner

Watching through the night

I’ve asked him where he comes from

And I’ve asked him what’s his name

But he stares at me unblinking

With his face always the same

It’s awfully hard to drift away

Into night’s sweet oblivion

When I find myself to be playing host

To an anthropomorphic amphibian

Yet as the sun crests the horizon

He climbs out my windowsill

And though I don't know where he's off to

I close my eyes and wish him well

Ballads of the Behemoth

Ballads of the Behemoth is a poetic odyssey, where lines are drawn into the concrete of the void. This collection of works gathers poets who craft verses upon tagged monoliths, reshaping the Behemoth’s vast terrain of memory and identity.
