Robin Kaur
Hi, this is Robin. They are 23 years old (though they hate saying that, lol). Their writing is a personal journey of self-exploration. Robin finds peace through reflecting on everyday moments, thoughts, and feelings, which they then translate into poetry or journal entries. These pieces aim to capture a sense of stillness and presence, embracing both the simplicity and complexity of life.
An Open Plea
I said the words in anger's heat,
A shield for pain I couldn't hide.
“Let’s stay apart,” my voice complete,
Yet every breath felt wrong inside.
I pushed you out with trembling hands,
Hoping time would heal the scars.
But now I trace abandoned plans,
Our memories like fallen stars.
I never meant for lines to break,
For distance wide to steal your name.
Regret is all my heart can take—
A silent fire, an unquenched flame.
I'd wish on every shard of night,
To turn the tide, to mend what's torn.
To call you back with all my might,
And love again, no words forlorn.
So here I stand, an open plea,
No pride to guard, no walls to climb.
If fate allows, come back to me,
Undo the ache of severed time.
