Raised by a Serbian immigrant family and spending much of her life creating figure-based realist and surrealist paintings, Violeta Bjelica is a communication designer, visual artist, and poet residing in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Her paintings, poetry and digital work take inspiration from her great passion for music and the natural form. Transforming figures beyond their capibilities, she creates art that subverts expectations.
